Membership Initiative

Several years ago Cuyuna Range Lions Club President Lion Jamie Skjeveland challenged the club to participate with him in a Membership drive.
President Lion Jamie set the challenge at nine new members in nine months. That challenge was met and nine new members were installed in 2015.
The membership Initiative continues with the challenge to club members to recruit new members.

What do we say to prospective Lions Members?
·         Talk about what Lions do to donate back to our community.
·         Why Lions are different from other organizations.
·         Invite them to a meeting.
            o    Six free meals when they join the club.
·         Feels good to help others.
·         Tell stories of families we help at Christmas.
·         Talk about fun events we do throughout the year.
·         It is fun to do things with other people.
·         Attend Zone meetings and meet people from other communities.
·         Enlarge your circle of friends.
·         Talk about money raised going back to the community.
·         Tell how we strive to meet the needs of individuals in the community.
·         Lions is a world-wide organization.
·         Being in the Lions club is a great opportunity to socialize with friends and neighbors.
·         We do not talk about politics or religion.  We gather to have fun and serve our community.
